Percutaneous Techniques in Spinal Pain Treatment: Lumbar-Sacred Region Te?cnicas Percutâneas para o Tratamento da Dor Raquidiana: Região Lombo-Sagrada

Abstract

Chronic low back pain is very prevalent, being one of the main causes of absenteeism and medicines consumption worldwide.
Percutaneous techniques in order to control pain directed to the lumbar-sacred region guided by fluoroscopy are safe and effective in selected patients, after a directed clinical evaluation.
This article reviews the approach to patients with localized pain in the lumbar-sacred region and which techniques are most used in their treatment.
